COMMENTS FROM HAWK HEAD COACH MALIKAH WILLIS
What the team learned from playing Georgetown
"We know we can play with anybody and we got better with our traps. We forced 20 turnovers, which was great. We had 15, a lot of ours were unforced. We just learned we can play with anybody. That's it."
Bench and depth contributions for the team
"We have some spark plugs coming in off the bench. We have people that actually could be starting for us coming off the bench, Skanes, Lainey Allen – who did start at a certain point. That's the beauty of our team. We can go deep. We just have to be consistent."
Consistency of the team
"I look at it that we have 40 paint points, but miss about 15 layups. So, I get it. It looks great on paper, but we want 70 paint points."
Looking at team's performance before conference play begins
"We've been doing everything. We've got about five breaks with free throws in practice. Got a bunch of layups going on. We just have to get out of our own way."
