NORFOLK, Va. — The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) announced the 2025 Cross Country All-Academic Team, honoring 72 student-athletes from the conference's eight member institutions for their outstanding academic achievements during the 2025–26 academic year.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore registered nine student-athletes, tied for the third most in the conference.

Representing the women's cross country team are graduate student McKenzie Abiley, freshman Sharly Cherop, sophomores Rihanna Gayle and Rebecca Jepngetich, and senior Shenell Simms.

For the men's team, sophomore Fidelis Osunkwo and seniors Destiny Emuze, David Martin, and Jalen Ridgeway were recognized.

To be eligible for All-Academic recognition, MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes must hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher. Transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at their respective institutions for at least one year are also eligible for selection.
