OVERVIEW

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's and women's basketball teams prepare for this week's MEAC Tournament in Norfolk, Virginia.

Built in 1971, architect Pier Luigi Nervi designed Scope Arena and to this day the venue remains the world's largest reinforced thin-shell concrete dome. The venue's concrete monolithic dome and twenty-four flying buttresses make it a popular, eye-catching and iconic landmark in downtown Norfolk. Scope Arena is the host to a wide variety of events and is currently home to the Norfolk Admirals hockey team, the MEAC Basketball Tournament, conventions, concerts, family shows and much more! Scope consists of a flexible main arena, modular exhibit halls and meeting rooms that can accommodate both small and large groups for private meetings, exhibits or conventions.



FIRST ROUND GAMES FOR THE HAWKS

The UMES men face the top seeded Spartans of Norfolk State on Wednesday night at 6 pm. The UMES women play their opening round on Thursday at 2 pm against the Morgan State University Bears.

TICKETS

Single game tickets for the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament are now on sale through the Scope box office and online via Ticketmaster. The tournament runs March 12-15 at the Norfolk Scope Arena, Norfolk, Va. Tournament tickets are not available for purchase at the conference office. Discounted tickets are available for purchase at the Scope box office in correlation to the different theme nights throughout the week. Discounts do not apply to tickets bought online.

Senior citizen discount tickets are not available online and can only be purchased at the Scope box office.

Groups of ten or more that plan to attend the tournament are eligible for a group rate of 20% off. Tickets must be purchased at the box office.
