The annual conference awards are selected based on the nominations and voting by the MEAC head coaches and communications administrators and were announced at Tuesday night's MEAC Awards Ceremony in Norfolk.

In his first year at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Ketron "KC" Shaw led the Hawks in scoring, assists and in rebounding throughout the season.

Shaw's 18.0 points per game ranks fourth in the MEAC while his 5.9 rebounds per contest rank fifth in the conference. He is also a top ten assist man in the MEAC finishing the season ranked seventh averaging 3.1 assists.

Shaw has recorded 14 games of 20 or more points and two games of 30 points this season.

Earning All-Rooke honors, the younger Shaw has appeared in 29 games with eight starts. Shaw has averaged 6.9 points per game which includes a 31 point performance and a 21 point performance this season. A perimeter shooter, Shaw had a season high seven makes from three point range in a single game and is converting 32.4% from beyond the arc this year.

The Hawks will be in action on Wednesday in the opening round of the MEAC Tournament against Norfolk State at 6 pm inside the Scope Arena.
