NORFOLK, Va. — Following the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's announcement of its All-Academic team on Monday, May 5, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore softball team had three student-athletes named to the All-MEAC rosterr, announced by the conference office Tuesday evening.

Junior catcher Paige Perkins was selected to the All-MEAC Second Team, while junior outfielder Jaycee Holt and freshman shortstop Clarke Calvin earned Third Team honors.

Perkins earned her first career postseason accolade after a standout season behind the plate and at third base. She ranked third in the MEAC in runners caught stealing (10) and second in walks (20). Offensively, she posted career highs in runs (7), hits (16), doubles (4), home runs (2), RBIs (9), slugging percentage (.306) and on-base percentage (.349). Defensively, she notched a season-high seven assists and seven putouts in games on March 15 and April 16.

Holt earned her second career postseason honor and captured her second consecutive MEAC stolen base title, swiping 28 bags to lead the conference, including seven games with multiple steals. She ranked third in the MEAC in at-bats (130), tenth in triples (3), and seventh in runs scored (24). Holt also led UMES in hits (36), runs, triples and stolen bases, and ranked second on the team in total bases (44). She posted a season-high three hits on Feb. 14.

Wrapping up a productive freshman campaign, Woodbury, Minnesota native Calvin became the second UMES freshman to earn a postseason nod since Holt in 2023. After contributing at multiple positions and making an impact across the lineup, Calvin ranked ninth in the MEAC in walks (14) and led the Hawks in batting average (.309), slugging percentage (.400), RBIs (12), doubles (8), and total bases (44). She recorded a season-high three hits on March 14 and a season-best five assists on March 30.
