How It Happened
The opening set featured seven ties and three lead changes. After splitting the first 24 points, Robert Morris went on an 11-3 run en route to a 25-17 win in set one.
The Hawks never led in set two, but fought back to tie the match at three points during the frame. Most notably, UMES evened the match 21-21 with a 3-0 run. The Colonials answered by scoring four straight to ice set two.
In a similar fashion to the opening set, the third frame had seven ties and three lead changes. After going ahead 16-15, the Hawks never led again. Robert Morris scored the final two points to win the final set 25-23.
