HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
GAME ONE
Skylar Skinner opened the scoring with a solo home run to left-center field, giving the Hawks an early 1–0 lead.
Jada Lacey followed with a walk and stole second before advancing to third on a single by
Clarke Calvin.
Moments later, Calvin stole second, allowing Lacey to score on the play and extend the lead to 2–0.
In the fourth inning, after a strikeout to begin the frame,
Gabriella Beltran singled up the middle and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt. She later moved to third on a passed ball before
Makalah Clark delivered an RBI double to right field, bringing Beltran home to make it 3–0. Clark advanced to third on a stolen base, but UMES was unable to add more.

Dani Brown tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit while walking two and striking out seven.
GAME TWO
Colgate responded in Game 2, erupting for seven runs in the first inning on eight hits.
UMES got on the board in the fourth inning when
Clarke Calvin led off with a double, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice fly by
Lola Meyer to trim the deficit.
The Hawks added another run in the fifth to extend the game. After two outs,
Skylar Skinner drew a walk and
Amaya Nunez followed with an RBI double to left field, making it 8–2.
Colgate answered in the sixth inning, using a fielder's choice and an RBI single to add two more runs and push the lead to 10–2.
The Raiders closed out the game in the bottom half of the inning, recording three strikeouts to secure the win.
