UMES record 18 top-five finishes at the ECU Bill Carson Invitational

The Hawks continued the 2026 outdoor season with 18 top-five finishes while competing at the East Carolina Bill Carson Invitational this past weekend.

UMES WOMEN'S RESULTS

Junior jumper Lyee Simms highlighted the UMES women's efforts with a win in the high jump. Simms hit a mark of 1.60 meter to take first place. Other top UMES women performances includes:

UMES MEN'S RESULTS

The UMES took the top spots in the men's 110 meter hurdles as Ra-John Gray crossed the line in 14.85 and in the men's 4 x 400m relay. David Edward-Etafo, Destiny Emuze, Kamoi Tracey and Daniel Barton ran a time of 3:19.87 to take the event. Other top UMES times and marks included:
