Mkabela wins 5000 at Morgan State Legacy Meet
 
SUMMARY

University of Maryland Eastern Shore distance runner Banele Mkabela paced the Hawks with a win the 5000 meter race to highlight the team's efforts at this weekend's Morgan State Legacy Meet. Including Mkabela, the UMES men earned points in nine events while the women had point earners in six events.

UMES distance runner Banele Mkabela picked up the victory in the 5000 meter race with a pace of 14:52.69. Saturday marked the first victory for Mkabela in the outdoor season. In addition to Mkabela, top UMES performers included:
