University of Maryland Eastern Shore announces national search for next head men's volleyball coach

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has officially begun the search for next head men's volleyball coach.

"During the hiring process, our selection committee intends to move swiftly and with great analysis in order to identify the right person to lead Hawk men's volleyball," says Vice President of Athletics & Recreation Tara A. Owens. "As we move forward, we hope to identify a leader with a focus on the well-being, development and success of our student-athletes. Our goal remains steadfast in positioning our student-athletes to be successful in the community, classroom and in competition."

In the inaugural season of the program, the Hawks finished with a 17-11 overall mark this past season with a 7-5 record in Northeast Conference play under former coach Anitra Brockman. The team finished third in the NEC standings and earned an appearance in the NEC Tournament. Following Coach Brockman's resignation, UMES publicly announced the national head coaching search.
