CARNOT-MOON, Pa. – September 19, 2026 – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team closed out the Duquesne & Robert Morris Tournament on Saturday, falling to Robert Morris in three sets.

The Hawks battled throughout the opening two sets, including a tightly contested second frame that featured 15 ties and five lead changes. UMES fought off set point twice and evened the score at 25 before Robert Morris scored the final two points to take the set.
Karielys Melendez led the Hawks with 10 kills and 13 digs, while Jayda Hutchins added eight kills and nine digs. Kyra Bradford finished with four kills on eight attempts for a .375 hitting percentage.
At the net, Rayah Howell recorded five block assists, while Dynasty Andrews added four total blocks. The Hawks finished the match with 34 kills and hit .206 as a team.
