Led the nation with six complete games ... Season ERA of 4.23 and a 1.27 WHIP ... 13th in the nation in walks-per-nine with 1.24 ... Season high nine strikeouts against Norfolk State on April 23, 2022 ... Won the Shore's first game in over 700 days in a complete game at Redford on March 5, 2022 ... 2020 (Freshman): Made three appearances in relief on the mound ... Did not allow any earned runs during his six innings pitched ... Struck out three batters at UNC Greensboro on March 7 ... Allowed only three hits during the season

High School: Played baseball all four years of high school....All-Conference Honorable Mention (Pitcher)....Pitcher of the Year 2017....Made it two second round playoffs during his junior year and quarter-finals his senior year....Covington was on honor roll all four years and apart of the National Honor Society from 2010-2012

Personal: Born May 21, 2001 ... son of Rusty and Jen Covington ... has two brothers, Caleb and Connor ... exercise science major at Maryland Eastern Shore ... enjoys watching the movie The Equalizer" and enjoys reading "Lord of the files"...his father is his biggest influence, because he showed him the real meaning of hard work and dedication....a quote he lives by is "Hard work beats talent when talent fails to show up"....one of his favorite sports moments was throwing his first complete game and allowing only four hits, one run while recording 6 strikeouts.....Covington's favorite non-athletic moment was being inducted into the National Honor Society and being able to help run Special Olympics Basketball all four years of high school.....one of his pregame routines is to listen to music and to focus....he enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends.......His goals before he graduates is to win a MEAC title, and to earn conference awards.
