Larry Stewart

Larry Stewart is in his first season as an assistant coach with the Hawks.

Stewart's most recent stop was at fellow MEAC member Morgan State. He would spend four seasons with the Bears from 2015-19.

Prior to MSU, he spent six seasons at Bowie State University from 2009-15. The Bulldogs went 91-50 during his time there. BSU would win the 2013 CIAA Tournament with Stewart on the sideline and he would also be instrumental in the recruitment of 2015 CIAA player of the year Cameron Knox.

As a player, Stewart was a star at Coppin State University from 1987-91. He would tally 1,824 points and 1,052 rebounds over his career. The Eagles would advance to the NCAA Tournament in 1990. His jersey number was retired by Coppin State after his career. He graduated from CSU in 1991.

After college, he would go on to play 17 years of professional basketball highlighted by his first six seasons in the NBA from 1991-97 with the Washington Bullets, Vancouver Grizzlies and Seattle Supersonics.
