Charles Fasnacht is in his second-year as the graduate assistant for men's basketball. A native of Salem, Virginia, Fasnacht received his Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Memphis.

Prior to UMES, Fasnacht worked as an assistant coach of the Glenvar High School (Salem, Va.) varsity boys team. Before that appointment, he was a media relations intern (2009) and team services assistant (2009-2011) for the Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association.

Fasnacht was responsible for supporting the coaching staff with game plans and personnel reports for each game during the season. Furthermore, he assisted in the scouting department working to acquire pre-draft player information, coordinate player and free agent workouts, and assisting with practices throughout the season.
