Steve Howard served as an assistant men's basketball coach at UMES during the 2023-2024 season.
Howard spent the previous two seasons with the Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks. While with the Herd, Howard served as a player development assistant and video coordinator. Prior to his time in Wisconsin, Howard was coaching at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida which included experience working with professional athletes as well as high school and post-graduate athletes.Â
Howard was a originally a graduate student assistant at Nyack College before being promoted to serve as an assistant.
Howard played collegiately at Clark Summit University and was named team captain during his junior and senior seasons. Howard earned his bachelor's degree in Youth Ministry from Clark Summit in 2012.
