2014 Cross Country Season: Dominated in her first season as a UMES runner ... won her first race at the Del. State Invitational with a time of 18:03.2 ... continued the trend all fall long, winning every race she competed in ... won Most Outstanding Runner honors at the MEAC Championships by winning the women's race with a time of 18:37.3.
2014 Indoor Season: Competed in the mile, 3000 and 5000 meter runs ... also assisted in the distance medley ... achieved the second best time in the mile for Hawk runners at 5:11.25 during the Terrier Invitational ... was the lone Hawk to race in the 3000 and 5000 runs, with top times of 10:14.83 and 18:14.95, respectively ... won a 3000 meter run with a 10:53 flat at the Nelson Towsend Invite ... top time in the 5000 also earned her 3rd place at the MEAC Championships.
2014 Outdoor Season: Raced in a wide variety of events ... ran an 11th place time of 2:23.44 in the 800 meter at the VertKlasse Meeting ... ran a 4:39.30 and took 8th place in the 1500 meter at Wake Forest, while also finishing 4th in the same event at MEACs ... also placed 3rd at MEACs in the 3000 steeplechase (11:21.05), but had her fastest time of 11:08.99 at the Morgan Legacy ... registered another top 10 at MEACs with a 17:52.38 in the 5000 meter.
Personal: born July 28, 1994...parents are Jan and Sarha...has one brother...general studies and sociology major at UMES...wants to finish medical school and a doctor of rehabilitation...favorite saying is "Never miss a chance to accomplish something. The time invested will pass anyway"...hobbies include rock climbing, cycling and triathlon...favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho...favorite movie is Tim Burton's Big Fish...wants to reach personal bests running at UMES...love to be busy and active, hoping to travel a lot and get the opportunity to compete in a lot of competitions.
