A native of Seneca, South Carolina, Walker earned a bachelor's degree in Business and Organizational Leadership with a minor in Coaching from Brevard College in 2023. While at Brevard, he was a four-year member of the men's tennis team and gained valuable experience as a work-study intern in the athletic department. Walker also served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and participated in the 2022 NCAA Immersion Program and the 2022 Career in Sports Forum.

Walker went on to earn a master's degree in Sport Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating in May 2024. At VCU, he was a graduate assistant in the Athletics Business Office and served as a graduate manager for the women's basketball team, assisting the director of basketball operations. His achievements included selection for the 2024 NCAA Emerging Leaders Seminar, volunteer roles at the A-10 Women's Basketball Conference Tournament and the 2024 Wheelchair Basketball Championship.

In his new role at UMES, Walker will leverage his extensive experience to support the operational needs of the women's basketball program. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, playing tennis, and watching basketball.
