Associate head coach Revonda Whitley begins her fourteen season at Maryland Eastern Shore and her sixteenth season as an assistant coach to Fred Batchelor.
"Coach Whitley is a dream to work with. She knows the game, has an incredible work ethic, and will make a difference in this program," said Batchelor.
In 2010, Whitley created "Beyond the Ball", a mentoring program that assist student-athletes in their total development and preparation for life after basketball.

Her collegiate coaching career began at Elizabeth City State in 2001 just an hour away from where she grew up in Pantego, North Carolina. During her tenure at Elizabeth City State, Whitley was the Head Volleyball Coach for two seasons (2003-04) while serving as an adjunct professor for the Physical Education Department (2002-04).
Whitley played four years for Winthrop University from 1990 through 1994, finishing with over 1,000 points, 600 rebounds and 140 steals in her stellar career. She earned triple digit points and rebounds in all four years with the Eagles.
Whitley has five siblings, all of whom contributed to her love for the game of basketball. She currently resides in Princess Anne, Md.
