Vince Brummell is in his 15th season at UMES, the first 13 and a half as an assistant to his wife, head coach Sharon Brummell. Upon Sharon[apos]s returment, Vince stayed on baord for the second half of the 2011-12 season. Planning on retiring after that season, he decided to stay on after experienceing the excitment of another National Championship. Vince serves as the team statistician, traveling with the squad, keeping scores of each game. He is also the coach the team flocks to, looking for advice, motivation and direction.
Affectionately known as [quote]Pappa Brummell[quote] or just [quote]Pappa,[quote] Vince is a mainstay with the Lady Hawk bowling program. He was a part the 2008 and 2011 NCAA titles and the 2011 USBC Collegiate Championship and all five MEAC championships prior to the 2012 NCAA titale.
With Sharon, they have one son, Bobby, who works for AT&T. Vince has three other children, Gavin, Peaches and Valina.
