2020-2021 (Freshman):
High School: Golf Team: 8th-12th grades... lettered her first year on the team... won the South Carolina regional state championship during her senior year... personal career low round 73… made first chair in chamber orchestra... wrote her first short story.
Personal: Born December 6, 2001… daughter of and Naomi Langford… has two brothers… PGA Golf Management major at Maryland Eastern Shore… She has to have oatmeal and water, have her mom say a prayer or sing a song, play her custom golf playlist, make sure a her wristband is on her left ankle, and recite “FLASH” with her dad before each round… Biggest athletic accomplishment was joining her high school’s golf team while in the eighth grade and state championships during her senior year of high school and her biggest non-athletic accomplishment is finishing in first place in her church’s oratorical contest in the 7th grade… Lists her dad her as her biggest influence because he’s determination and his willing to never give up despite of the circumstances. “He always told me to shoot for the stars, gave me tough love (when I needed it), and always saw so much potential in me, sometimes even more then I saw in myself. wouldn’t be nearly half the young woman I am today, let alone have the athletic scholarship that I have, without my dad’s influence.” … Wants to work as a sports commentator and own her own sports agency after graduation… Favorite saying is “Closed mouths will never get fed.”… Hobbies include writing, playing the cello, listening to music, watching sports, and law & order… Favorite book If Beale Street Could Talk by James Baldwin …. Favorite movie We’re the Millers and Shrek… Hopes keeps her scoring average around 77, make it into the top 20 in the MEAC conference, pass her PGA PAT, and stay in shape.
