Princess Anne, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks (0-1), played its first game of the regular season Sunday afternoon against the Auburn Tigers (3-0) at Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum. Auburn had a sluggish start as the Hawks jumped on the Tigers early behind the strength of point guard Tee Trotter's shooting. Aaron Wellington added 12 points. Despite their start, they were defeated by Auburn by the final score 61-85.

All of the Tigers starters scored in double-digits led by Ian Young's 16 points and Brandon Robinson's 15 points while teammate Kyle Davis' had 11 rebounds.
