Greensboro, NC - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference has announced that the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's senior guard, Tee Trotter, was voted as one of the top retuning players in the confrence. This award comes as no surprise since Trotter is not only considered one of the best players in the country, but a candidate for the Francis Pomeroy Naismith Award. That award is given annually to the best Division I player in the country under six feet tall.
The list, voted on by MEAC Basketball Coaches and Sports Information Directors also picked the Hawks to finish in eighth place, one spot higher than last season's predictions. Other basketball publications, including Dime Magazine, picked the Hawks to finish as high as third in the MEAC.
Trotter and company kicked off their season on November 2 with a 58-54 win over Team Champion. They take on One on One Sports on November 14 in the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center. Game time is 7:30 pm.
