UMES' WOODWARD EARNS MEAC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR

PRINCESS ANNE, MD - University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) freshman Caylin Woodward (Garden Grove, Calif./Pacifica H.S.) earned MEAC Rookie of the Week honors for the fifth time this season, the conference announced on Monday.

The right side hitter recorded her 10th and 11th double-doubles of the year in two non-conference matches for the Lady Hawks last week. Woodward posted 14 kills and a match-high 18 digs in a win against Wagner. She followed with a team-high 20 kills and 20 digs in a victory over the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Woodward's 20-kill performance was the first of her career.

UMES next faces Delaware State in a 7:00 pm non-conference decision on November 7 at the Hytche Center.
