RIVERDALE, N.Y. - University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) red-shirt freshmen Sam Chukwura (Jamaica, N.Y./Bayside H.S.) was named to the All-Tournament Team of the Jasper Invitational held at Manhattan College last weekend.

Chukwura had a solid outing in the tournament as she helped her Hawks to a 1-2 mark, picking up a win over host Manhattan and taking a game from tournament champion and Big East power Seton Hall.

She tallied 21 kills, seven in each match and three and a half blocks, including one solo block against the Pirates.

UMES and Chukwura are back in action this weekend in Easton, Pa at a tournament hosted by Lafayette College.
