UMES VOLLEYBALL MATCHES AVAILABLE LIVE ON THE INTERNET

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The UMES Hawks volleyball team will put its 16-match W.P. Hytche Athletic Center winning streak on the line on Saturday, Sept. 26 against Sacred Heart and Norfolk State. Both matches and the remainder of the 2009 slate can be heard live on www.umeshawks.com. Additionally, fans can watch all home volleyball matches online. Both services are free of charge.

In collaboration with allinbroadcasting.com, direct links to the video (home) and audio broadcasts (home and away) will be available on www.umeshawks.com prior to the match.

Including the Hampton Inn Salisbury North Invitational this weekend, the Hawks will play 16 more games before the MEAC Tournament begins on Nov. 20. The Hawks will play eight more games at the Hytche Athletic Center, where they have not lost since Nov. 9, 2006.

Postseason matches will also be broadcast online. The Hawks have reached the MEAC Championship game the last two seasons.

"They enable us to provide multiple sports coverage to the Hawk faithful. We have worked with this company for six years now and each year we are able to provide more coverage of Hawk Athletics."

Bret Lasky and Nick Anastos will serve as the primary broadcasters for the volleyball matches.

On Saturday, the Hawks open the home schedule with a 2 p.m. match against Sacred Heart. The Hawks play conference-foe Norfolk State to close the festivities. The Hampton Inn Salisbury North Invitational begins at 10 a.m. as Sacred Heart squares off with Norfolk State.
