Hawks look to continue BC's losing streak

Nov. 15, 2016

CHESTNIUT HILL, Massachusetts - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team (0-2) makes another stop on the early-season trek across the country, when it faces Boston College Tuesday (Nov. 15) at 7 p.m. at the Conte Forum.

The Eagles (0-1) were stunned by Nicholls State 79-73 in their season opener Nov. 11 and have lost 20 straight games dating back to last season. Boston College is in rebuilding mode with freshman and sophomores making up 12 of the 15 players on the roster. Six of those are freshmen including the team's leading scorer Ty Graves (15 ppg).

Sophomores Jerome Robinson (14 ppg) and A.J. Turner (12 ppg) also had strong games against Nicholls State.

Head coach Bobby Collins said the coaching staff would have some decisions to make leading up to the matchup with several players stepping up off the bench over the first two games.

Logan McIntosh could see his role increase after a 13-point, nine-assist performance at home against University of Maryland Baltimore County. Freshman Tyler Jones had 28 points in that same home loss and may be working his way toward the starting lineup.

This is the third all-time meeting between Boston College and Maryland Eastern Shore. The Eagles won the previous tw games - both in Chestnut Hill - in 1989 (102-76) and 1991 (113-64).

All games can be heard locally on Fox Sports Radio 960 AM WTGM or on www.EasternShoreHawks.com. Will DeBoer will have the call Tuesday from Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts on the Hawks Sports Radio Network.
