PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland - On senior night at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center, University of Maryland Eastern Shore senior co-captain Dominique Elliott (Savannah, Georgia) was without co-captain Devin Martin (Baltimore, Maryland).

In the second half of that contest against Delaware State, Elliott had just six points and three rebounds at the half, but took the team on his shoulders in the second half finishing with 20 points, six rebounds two assists and in 35 minutes. He finished the game a solid 8-of-11 from the free throw line.

On Saturday, Elliott put up 19 points, 12 rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes, before he fouled out with two minutes left in the first overtime of an 81-80 double-overtime loss.

The two-game averages of 19.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals were good enough to share Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors with Howard's James Daniel III.

The victory against Delaware State stopped a five-game losing skid for the Hawks that had started on Feb. 8 at home against Norfolk State.

The Hawks will finish out the regular season on the road at Morgan State on March 3 at 7:30 p.m. It is the second half of a men's and women's doubleheader.

All games can be heard locally on Fox Sports Radio 960 AM WTGM or on www.umeshawks.com.

Brendan Gulick will have the call Thursday from Morgan State on the Hawks Sports Radio Network.
