PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Tomorrow (April 6), Coach Sam Douglas and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Softball Team goes to Fairfax, Va. where they will meet George Mason in a nonconference doubleheader.
First-pitch is set for 3:30 p.m. at George Mason Softball Complex.

Last Sunday (April 3), the softball team dropped their contest versus Norfolk State, 14-4, at Hawks Field.
Senior Vanessa Gomez (Belleville, N.J.) registered her 10th multi-hit game of the season, going 2-of-3 with two RBIs, two runs scored, and a triple.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
George Mason (14-13) comes in looking to rebound from consecutive losses against conference rival UMass. Before the season, the Patriots were projected to finish fifth in the Atlantic-10 Conference. Currently, the clubs sits in sixth place. Seniors Julia Czarnecki and Casey Price pace the Patriot attack. Czarnecki leads the club in runs scored (18) while Price has a team-high 21 RBIs.
For Maryland Eastern Shore (7-18), they also look to rebound after a tough loss against the Spartans. Collectively, the squad is hitting .278 with three Hawks topping .350 or better. Gomez ranks No. 1 on the club, hitting a .392 while classmates Kaitlyn Hitch (Delmar, Del.) and Trenece Nash (Decatur, Ga.) are batting .371 and .354, respectively. In the circle, sophomore Adrienne Guerra (Monrovia, Calif.) spearheads the pitching staff with a team-high 80 strikeouts.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Maryland Eastern Shore will have the weekend off from conference play; however, the club returns home to face in-state rival UMBC on Wednesday, April 13.
The doubleheader action begins 2:30 p.m. at Hawks Field.
