University of Maryland Eastern Shore freshman forward Bairesha Gill-Miles (Lexington, Kentucky) captured her fifth Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week award of the season for the week ending Jan. 22. She split the award this week with North Carolina Central's Kieche White.

The 6-foot forward averaged a double-double this past week, going for 15.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in two games. In a win over North Carolina Central, Gill-Miles had 20 points, on 8-for-18 shooting (.444), and 10 rebounds to go along with four assists. Earlier in the week, against North Carolina A&T State, she scored nine points, grabbing 10 boards and three steals.

She leads the team in scoring with 11.2 points and rebounding with 6.9 rebounds per game this season and has had a pair of double-doubles.
