UMES women's basketball schedule revealed for 2025-26 season

The schedule for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball program is set for the 2025-26 season. 

Non-conference Play2025-26 WBB Schedule Non-conferenc

UMES has an evenly split non-conference schedule of away and road games, as well as a pair of neutral site tournaments. 

Tipping off the season, UMES will open at VCU for the second straight year on Nov. 5 and the fifth all-time matchup between the programs. 

UMES returns home for its second game of the season for a Homecoming matchup against Cheyney University of Pennsylvania on Nov. 8. The Hawks earned a 67-42 win against Cheyney last year and hold a 5-0 all-time record. In a second straight home game, UMES will face off with Monmouth in only the third matchup between programs on Nov. 11. 

The Hawks go back on the road to Illinois for a Nov. 14 game against Northwestern and Nov. 16 at Loyola University Chicago. These games will mark the first meeting for the Hawks with either program. 

UMES will host its final home game of the month against UMBC on Nov. 19. The Hawks own a 7-5 all-time advantage between the two teams, last meeting and earning a 70-54 win in 2023. 

On Nov. 22 and 23, the Hawks fly out of the country for the Battle 4 Atlantis Showcase. UMES is only the second HBCU to play in the event and will face San Diego State on Nov. 22 and Princeton on Nov. 23. 

The next four games for UMES will remain on the road with a Nov. 26 matchup against Mount St. Mary's (Md.), Nov. 30 at Virginia, Dec. 5 at Wichita State and Dec. 7 at Oklahoma. 

UMES returns home for a trio of games with La Salle on Dec. 14, Towson on Dec. 17 and Bloomfield College on Dec. 20. 

On Dec. 29 the Hawks travel to Madison New Jersey, for the FDU Christmas Classic tournament where UMES will play the University of Pennsylvania for the right to play in a championship game on Dec. 30. 

Conference Play WBB Graphic Conference 2025-26

With the start of the new year, the Hawks begin MEAC play. UMES finished the regular season last year with an 8-6 conference record. 

UMES opens with a home matchup against Morgan State on Jan. 3 after earning three wins against the Bears last season, including a 74-67 win in the first round of the MEAC Tournament. 

The Hawks will go on the road next to Norfolk State on Jan. 8 before returning home for games against Howard on Jan. 10 and Coppin State on Jan. 17. 

The next four games for UMES will be on the road with North Carolina Central on Jan. 22, South Carolina State on Jan. 24, Delaware State on Jan. 31 and the start of the second half of the MEAC schedule beginning at Morgan State on Feb. 7. 

The Hawks host Norfolk State on Feb. 12 before heading to Howard on Feb. 14 and Coppin State on Feb. 19. 

Closing the regular season, the Hawks will host North Carolina Central on Feb. 26, South Carolina State on Feb. 28 and Delaware State on March 5. 

The MEAC Tournament will begin on March 11.
