Hawks Begin Long Road Trip at Morehead State

Eastern Shore travels over 6,000 miles In Seven Days

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will face the Morehead State University Eagles for the first time in 14 years on Saturday evening (Nov. 16). The game will be the first of three games in the 2019 Hall of Fame Classic, presented by ShotTracker for the squad.55311

The Hawks (0-3) are coming off an 85-55 defeat against Longwood on Nov. 12. Eastern Shore was led by freshman Da'Shawn Phillip (Baltimore, Md.) who finished with 13 points.

Saturday's opponent, Morehead State, is undefeated on the season at 3-0. They defeated Presbyterian 77-55 on Nov. 14. Four players were in double figures that game for the Eagles.

Following their game with MSU, the Hawks will head west to face Stanford on Tuesday (Nov. 19) and will go to Oklahoma for a game with the Sooners on Thursday (Nov. 21). The Shore will cover 6,163 miles before returning to Princess Anne.
