BOWIE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's tennis team fell to Bowie State University 4-3 on Tuesday afternoon (April 16).
The match started with juniors Kenza Katema (Bobigny, France) and Michal Kittrell (Ponchatoula, LA) winning their doubles match 7-6. The Hawks would win the doubles 2-1 after a withdrawal from Bowie State.
Kittrell would continue her winning ways in her singles match with a 1-6, 6-3, 8-6 win in three sets. Bowie State would win the final three singles matches to complete their team victory.
Eastern Shore will face Monmouth on Wednesday afternoon (April 17) at 2 p.m. The match will serve as senior day for the Hawks at the Bay Country Racquet Club in Cambridge.
