PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball program is welcoming eight new players to campus for the 2019-20 season in head coach Jason Crafton's first season.
"We are excited to announce the additions of this diverse group of student-athletes to our training camp roster this fall," Crafton said. "Our staff worked extremely hard to secure the best available student-athletes when we got the job and we feel like we did that with this group."
Four new players were on campus for summer classes. Those players were freshmen Kevon Voyles (Berlin, Maryland), Da'Shawn Phillip (Baltimore, Maryland), Bruce Guy (Cordova, Tennessee) and junior college transfer Ty Gibson (Brooklyn, New York).
The final four of the recruiting class came in August as classes began for the fall semester. That group included freshman Glen Anderson (Harlem, New York), junior Jahmal Wright (Toronto, Ontario, Canada), junior Walter Prevost (Houston, Texas) and senior Jacob McIntosh (Finksburg, Maryland).
Redshirt juniors Marlon Adams (Brooklyn, New York) and Derrick Green (Baltimore, Maryland) will also return to the lineup for the Hawks after missing last season due to injury.
"With 15 players on the current training camp roster, this will be a competitive fall where we will be focused on finalizing our official roster for the season," Crafton said.
