PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will conclude their longest home stand of the season on Monday evening (Jan. 13) as they take on the North Carolina Central University Eagles.
The Hawks (2-15, 1-1 MEAC) fell to the North Carolina A&T Aggies in their last game (Jan. 11). Eastern Shore had a tough shooting night from the perimeter during that contest as they shot just 1-24 from three point range. However, the team did pull down a season-high 19 offensive rebounds and shot 72.7% from the free throw line which was also tops the season against NCAT.
North Carolina Central (5-11, 1-1 MEAC) comes into Monday's game after falling to Delaware State 68-66 last Saturday on a buzzer beater. The Eagles have been a perennial power in the MEAC in recent years as they have represented the conference in the NCAA Tournament for the last three seasons.
The game can be seen via Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/ESHawks/posts/10156491692747735 with Will DeBoer and former Hawk coach Frankie Allen on the call.
The Shore will be back on the road after their game on Monday as they travel down Route 13 to face Norfolk State on Jan. 18.
