PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore had one former softball player, Robin Pettit, named to the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's All-Time team.
Pettit was the 1995 MEAC Player of the Year and was named first team All-MEAC in 1995 and 1996. She is the lone softball player in the Hawks Hall of Fame as she was inducted in 2004.
More than 3,000 total votes were cast, with fans, media representatives, institution sports information contacts and others taking part.
To be considered on the ballot, student-athletes must have been named to the All-MEAC First Team, MEAC Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year or Pitcher of the Year, holder of any MEAC single-season record or inducted into the MEAC Hall of Fame.
