PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – Forecasts predicting incoming inclement weather have moved the University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball teams' opening series up a day, having the Hawks now defending the nest on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 against Quinnipiac University in Salisbury.
 
Originally slated as a doubleheader on the 25^th and a single game the next day, the doubleheader will now be played on Friday, with game one at 11:00 AM and game two to follow shortly after, and a single game on Saturday at 11:00 AM.
 
It will be the first time in program history that the Hawks have hosted, or played, the Bobcats who currently sit at 0-3 following the Snowbird Classic this past weekend against Iowa and Indiana State.
