PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team grabbed its first weekly award of the season as freshman
Anisa Dorlouis was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for her efforts on Monday, September 4.
Over four games in Week Two, the setter had 45 assists at a .389 success rate, while also adding eight kills on just nine attempts and notching four aces. Against Central Connecticut State University Dorlouis had a career high 22 assists and was solid defensively all week with 26 digs over four games.
Rookie of the Week nods are no new thing for the Hawks, with
Nkemjika Ikemefuna earning the award twice in 2022.
The Hawks have a busy weekend ahead, hosting the Henson Hawk Invitational at the Hytche Athletic Center with Gardner-Webb on the table Friday (September 8) evening at 6 p.m., then taking on Quinnipiac at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, following by Hampton at 6:00 p.m.
