HOW IT HAPPENED
- Day two did not start any easier for the UMES bowling team as the #14 ranked Hawks faced off against fourth top-six opponent at the 2024 Northeast Classic in #3 Youngstown State. With the day's matchup in traditional pin total, the Penguins picked up the 1099-920 win over the Hawks.
- UMES rebounded with a ranked win over #21 McKendree, 985-960.
- The Hawks then took on fifth top-10 team in the past two days as #10 Maryville. The matchup came down to the final frame as the Saints escaped with a 1007-1002 win over the Hawks
- UMES once again rebounded after a tough loss with a dominating 242 pin win over Adelphi, 1017-775.
- For the third-straight contest, the Hawks finished with over 1000 with a 1014-994 win over the #23 ranked Jennies of Central Missouri.
