NORFOLK, Va. – University of Maryland Eastern Shore freshman Malaysia Shaw was crowned MEAC Rookie of the Week by the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference on Monday, Oct. 27.

In two matches, Shaw recorded 19 kills, nine digs, and two blocks while hitting .325.

The hitter from Austin, Texas, posted eight kills and five digs in a win over South Carolina State. Shaw then followed that output with 11 kills, four digs, and a block against North Carolina Central.
