• The Hawks lead the series 13-2 over the South Carolina State Bulldogs since 2010

• Reigning MEAC Defensive Player of the Week Valeria Matias eclipsed 900 digs for her career at the Hokie Invitational. She is set to eclipse 1000 if she can get 3 digs against South Carolina State. With 997 career digs, Matias has just passed Stella Johnson for 4th all-time in career digs in UMES Volleyball recorded history. Matias ranks second in the MEAC in digs going into the weekend, and her 21 digs at Charlotte is the most any MEAC player has had in a three-set match this year.

• Reigning MEAC Rookie of the Week Jayda Hutchins' 45 assists against Marshall on September 12th is the most assists a Hawk Setter has had in a four-set match this decade according to MEACSports.com

• Outside hitter Nkemjika Ikemefuna's 19 kills against Robert Morris is the most kills that any MEAC volleyball player has had in a three-set match. Her 19 kills against Marshall is also the most kills that any MEAC volleyball player has  had in a four-set match.

• Middle blocker Lilliana Montes ranks 4th in the MEAC with a .331 attack percentage
