Kollie sets new school record; UMES men finish in third place while women finish in ninth at VMI Invitational

SUMMARY
University of Maryland Eastern Shore sprinter
Andie Kollie set a new school mark in the 60 meter dash at the VMI Invitational. The UMES men took first place in four events to finish in third place. The UMES women finished in ninth place in the team standings with athletes earning points in five events.
Andie Kollie set the new school record in the 60 meter dash with a pace of 6.70 to win the event.
Tyrese Golston took the top spot in the 200 meter race in 21.66.
Ra-John Gray won the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.15. The men's distance medley team of
Banele Mkabela,
David Martin,
Kyle Gordon and
Siyabonga Mbatha won the race and posted the 12th fastest time in the country (10:14.94).
