Marvin Blye enters his first year as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Athletic Department Business Manager. Blye handles the financial operations in the athletic department by preparing various reports and financial statements.
Blye is no stranger to Hawks' Athletics as he was a four-year player for the men's basketball team (1984-88). Blye scored 1,355 points in his four-year career as a Hawk. Blye averaged 13.7 points per game (ppg), 5.1 rebounds (rpg), 2.5 assists (apg), and 1.8 steals (spg) in his collegiate career.
The Charleston (SC)-native received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting (1988) from UMES and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Wilmington College (New Castle, DE), now known as Wilmington University, in 1993. Currently, Blye is pursuing a Ph. D. in Organizational Leadership at UMES.
