Sarah Miles has been named as a women's basketballĀ assistant coach for the 2025-26 season. Miles joins head coach Malikah Willis and assistant coach Adria Crawford on the coaching staff.

Miles arrives at UMES following four years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Denver. During her time with the Pioneers, she was selected for the 2025 Class of WBCA Next Generation Institute and helped coach multiple all-conference selections in the Summit League as well as the Summit League Defensive Player of the Year, Makayla Minett, for the 2022-23 season.

Previously, Miles was also an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Central Michigan University during the 2020-21 season. In this season, CMU won the MAC Tournament and earned an NCAA Tournament berth.

Additionally, Miles worked as an assistant coach at Northwestern State University for the 2019-20 season after a two-year stay at Colorado State–Pueblo where she served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. During her first season at Colorado State-Pueblo, the program won the Rocky Mountain Conference regular season and conference tournament titles.

A graduate of West Virginia University, Miles spent a year as a graduate assistant, helping the team to a Big 12 Conference Tournament title in 2017. She earned a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies while playing for the Mountaineers from 2007-2011, earning Defensive Player of the Year in the Big East for the 2009-10 season and Most Improved Player in the Big East in 2008-09. She was also named to the All-Big East Tournament Team and Second Team All-Big East as a junior, leading the Mountaineers to a 29-6 record.

Following her career at WVU, Miles played professionally for a year in Forssa, Finland, in 2012-13 during which time she was named all-league honorable mention.
