VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - For the second week in a row the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's (UMES) Kristina Frahm (Oswego, Ill.) has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowling Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 16,2008. This is the third straight honor for a Lady Hawk bowler.
Frahm led the nation's no. 1 ranked team to a 9-1 mark at the MEAC Northern Division match-up in Millsboro, Del. this past weekend. The defending National Rookie of the Year knocked down 1,022 total pins and averaged a solid 204.4. In five team games she bowled four over 200 with a high-game of a 245 against no. 9 Delaware State.
Frahm leads the defending National Champions into the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic this weekend at Millsboro Lanes in Millsboro, Del., the Hawks home lanes. The event features 20 teams, ten of which are ranked in the top 20 in the nation by the National Tenpins Coaches Association. Action starts at 10:00 a.m. each day, Friday through Sunday, November 21-23.
