PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Three days before Christmas (Dec. 22), the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Women's Basketball Team concludes their three-game home stretch against the Old Dominion Lady Monarchs inside the William P. Hytche Athletic Center. Tuesday's showdown begins at 2 p.m., followed by the men taking on Central Penn at 4 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to follow all the action via YouTube and GameTracker.

LAST TIMEOUT
Last Sunday (Dec. 20), the squad could not slow down No. 5 Maryland's hot shooting as they were defeated, 106-30, inside the Hytche Center.
Offensively, the Lady Hawks could not get into a rhythm as Maryland contested nearly every shot. As a result, UMES shot a season-low 16-percent (11-of-67) from the field. On the other side, the Terps shot a scorching 68-percent (42-of-62) from the floor and 65-percent (13-of-20) from long range.
TOP PERFORMERS
Moengaroa Subritzky (Auckland, New Zealand) was the lone Hawk in double-figures, recording a team-high 12 points on 3-of-7 shooting from downtown. Senior center Taryana Kelly (North Brunswick, N.J.) and freshman guard Ciani Byrom (Winston-Salem, N.C.) each finished with a team-high five boards in a losing effort.
MATCHUP PREVIEW
This will be the fourth installment between UMES and ODU with the Lady Monarchs leading the series, 2-1. Maryland Eastern Shore won the inaugural meeting, but Old Dominion has won the last two contests.
In the last meeting (12/07/13), Alexis Udoji (Randolph, Mass.) registered a team-high 10 boards, eight points, and two rejections in the loss.
Entering Tuesday's matchup, the Lady Monarchs enter with a 3-7 overall record after falling to the VCU Rams, 74-54. Jennie Simms leads ODU with 16.0 points-per-game (PPG) while Destinee Young adds 10.3 PPG and leads the squad in rebounding (7.2). As a team, Karen Barefoot's group averages 56.2 PPG.
Maryland Eastern Shore comes in 3-9 on the season while looking to snap a four-game losing streak. Coach Fred Batchelor's squad is led by Subritzky, who leads the club in multiple categories, including points (11.0), assists (2.3), and steals (1.2). On the defensive end, Udoji averages 2.1 blocks-per-game (BPG).
UPCOMING SCHEDULE
On Dec. 28, UMES ends the year in Greensboro, N.C. where they will face UNC-Greensboro in their final tune-up before resuming conference play. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
