Jamison Trower (Chesterfield, Va.) and senior softball infielder
Emily Diseroad (Manchester, Md.) were named the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Athletes of the Week for the week ending February 27nd.
Diseroad helped the Lady Hawks split the twinbill with Lafayette and the Retrievers. They defeated the Leopards, 7-6, in extra innings while falling to the Retrievers, 4-0. Emily led the way, going 3-of-4 with a RBI and run scored.
Trower and the Hawks defeated St. Peters on Saturday, Feb. 27 17-5. The Virginia native led off the ninth with doubles. He then drove in two runs in a 7-4 lost to Richmond yesterday (Feb. 28). He delivered his fifth double of the weekend in the eighth.
Diseroad and the Lady Hawks travel to Buies Creek, N.C. for the Camel Stampede on March 4 and Trower and the Hawks travel to Richmond, Ky. to play Eastern Kentucky on the same day.
