Eastern Shore competes at Lehigh Invitational

Hawks struggle in cold rainy conditions in final fall tournament of the season

BETHLEHEM, PENNSYLVANIA – The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women's Golf team finished 10th in the Lehigh University Invitational over the weekend at Saucon Valley Country Club.

This was the team's fourth tournament of the 2019-20 season.

Junior captain Sumayah Arcusa (Bowie, Maryland) started off round one a bit shaky but recovered nicely during the second round posting 95+86=181 (+37) to finish tied for 44th over the two-day 36-hole tournament with 55 student-athletes teeing it up in the event. Junior Morgan Miner (Fort Washington, Maryland) posted 93+92=185 (+41) to place in 48th. Sophomore Briahna Willis (Little Rock, Arkansas) posted 94+92=186 (+42) to finish right behind her teammate in 49th place.

The women's team will tee it up next in March 2020. Their spring schedule has yet to be released.
