PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore head softball coach Karla Powell will host her first hitting camp on January 11.

"We are looking forward to having our first camp of the year," Powell said. "We are going to be specializing in how to take your offensive game to the next level by not only focusing on the physical aspect but the mental side as well."

The camp will be held inside Taws Gymnasium from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $60 per person. It will be open to participants from the first grade through junior college players. Maryland Eastern Shore will play in their first games of the season in February.
