PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — After three postponements due to COVID-19 protocols, The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's basketball team will finally begin Mid-Eastern Conference play on Monday as The Shore hosts Howard University (6-6, 0-0 MEAC).
The Hawks (4-8, 0-0 MEAC) have not played since a Dec. 21 loss at East Carolina. They were originally supposed to face Norfolk State Monday in a matchup already pushed back once from Jan. 8.
The Bison had not played a game since a loss at Memphis on Dec. 17, however, after having their Jan. 15 home game against the Spartans postponed, they worked to move up a later season matchup with Eastern Shore. Howard also picked up a road tune up on Saturday against Division III Frostburg State University which it won 100-53.
In that contest, Anzhane' Hutton led the Bison with 15 points and 15 rebounds, while five different players reached double digits.
