PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — On Monday night (February 14), the University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will play their third game in six days as they host the Howard University Bison inside the Hytche Center. The game will tip off at 7 p.m.
The Hawks (8-11, 3-5 MEAC) are coming off a 70-63 defeat at Norfolk State on February 12. The team had four players get into double figures that game led by senior Zion Styles' 14 points.
Howard (12-10, 5-3 MEAC) is bringing a four game win streak into Monday night as they defeated Delaware State in their last game 85-72. Kyle Foster was a big reason for that as he scored 27 points against the Hornets. He is currently the second leading scorer in the MEAC at 15.9 points per game.
The matchup on Valentine's Day will also be the second time these two teams have faced off this season. They played on February 5 at Howard and the Bison were victorious 72-64 thanks to a strong second half surge. Senior Nathaniel Pollard, Jr. had his best shooting game of the year against HU as he went 8-9 from the field to finish with 19 points.
After playing Howard, Maryland Eastern Shore will go on their longest road trip of conference play as they head south to take on South Carolina State on February 19 and North Carolina Central on February 21.
